Dicuss how the Beatles portray the wild west through song? Is their piece accurate?

In the song Rocky Raccoon it talks about a man who lost his "gal" to another man in around the old western times. So what he does is grab a gun and go out to go kill that guy. Which, in my opinion, is a good example of how "wild" the wild west was back then it was almost lawless because there was almost no one to help enforce it.  With this it does help show how if you didn't like the guy shoot him, sort of way the west was. With the part of the doctor coming in smelling of gin, it sort of is true since there wasn't much back then to do up in those old mining towns so most people of that time would drink especially if they were not getting anything from the mining that they were doing. So in my opinion yes it is accurate to a degree.
