Sexism is a very "hot" topic no matter where its spoken about in the United States. However even as taboo it is to talk about today, it was much more prevalent back in the 1950's then today. Such as this ad that I am looking at now. It is fairly understandable what the idea this ad was for was for women to sign up for the air force. However it shows the tasks of housework and others of what you would do in the air force. None of which seems more or less like "fighting", which in a way could be stating the "housework" jobs for the air force are in need of someone to do them. it even talks about what type of work appeals to you, listing some of the things that one would do in this air force as a women.
